Quorn products are so easy to cook that they can be cooked from frozen, so there’s no need to defrost. Quorn products can be cooked using a stove, air fryer, microwave, oven or grill. Quorn products are delicious, tasty and easy to prepare, just refer to the cooking instructions on pack. For Quorn ingredients products like Mince, Pieces and Swedish Style Balls, our cooking instructions often recommend that the sauce is cooked before the Quorn product is added, as our products often require less cooking time than animal proteins. For Crispy Nuggets and Southern Fried Bites, you can air fry them for 10-12 min at 180°C or deep fry them for 3-4 min at 175°C.

Quorn Mince is a truly versatile ingredient and it’s so quick to turn out delicious and satisfying recipes. You can use it straight from the freezer or fridge, so it’s perfect for midweek meal ideas for the whole family. When you’re ready to start a dish, make the sauce first, then add the Quorn Mince in the last 10 minutes of cooking. Quorn Mince often needs more liquid than other dishes, so a little more stock or passata (100-200ml) than usual should do the trick. Quorn Mince works beautifully in chilli, lasagne, Bolognese, moussaka, or you can serve it over a hot jacket potato. Any leftovers can be frozen or can be served up in wraps the next day. Perfect to pull out of the freezer when you’re short of time.
Quorn Pieces work fantastically in so many different dishes and they’re really quick to cook. You can use them straight from the fridge or freezer. Just create your favourite sauce, and then add the Quorn Pieces in the last 12-15 minutes of cooking. Quorn Pieces absorb a whole lot of flavour, so you’ll probably need more liquid than you’re used to. Just adding a little more stock or passata (100-200ml) will do the job. Quorn Pieces work brilliantly in curries, stir fries, pasta bakes, stroganoffs, fajitas, kebabs and so many other irresistible healthy meal ideas. Most Quorn products can be cooked in under 15 minutes straight from the freezer, so you don’t need to cook Quorn using a slow cooker. Cooking low and slow can change the texture of Quorn products and make them softer than they should be. The ideal way to cook Quorn ingredients is to create a delicious sauce and then add them 10-15 minutes before the end of cooking time. Convenient and tasty!
Quorn Pieces and Swedish Style Balls can be marinated from frozen. The minimum time we suggest is 30 minutes and the maximum would be overnight. The longer the marinade time, the more the Quorn product will absorb all the delicious flavours. Chilli, garlic and smoked paprika are all amazing flavours to include in your marinade, and you can whip one up in no time. If marinating overnight, make sure the Quorn Pieces and Swedish Style Balls are kept in the fridge. Yum!
When you use Quorn products in homemade recipes like cottage pie, Bolognese, curry and chilli, they are perfectly safe to re-heat if they’ve been kept nice and cool in the fridge and are eaten within 48 hours. If you can resist them for that long!
If you have any leftover or extra portions from your Quorn recipes, you can easily freeze them. They’re great if you’re running late and need a quick meal on the go. As long as all the other ingredients are suitable for freezing and reheating, you can store the dish in the freezer for up to one month. Always make sure the ingredients are cold before freezing. It’s a good idea to take them out of the freezer the night before, defrost them fully in the refrigerator, then cook them within 24 hours, making sure they’re piping hot before serving.
